The Carnivorous Plant FAQ v. 12

Q: Field trip report: Southwestern Ontario in 2003

map
A: Late in 2003, I took a short trip to southwestern Ontario. Time was tight, but I was able to add a few days onto my trip so I could visit a few Sphagnum bogs. I was really looking forward to this since the bogs of the northeast part of North America are really quite beautiful, albeit famously treacherous.

This field trip report describes some of what I saw, and is really a treat for those who love Sarracenia purpurea. If that species bores you, move your web browser to the next FAQ entry!
