Lovely glands:
Look at how colorful these leaves are! However, this not due to genetics. The same plants had
both strongly and weakly pigmented leaves. It was all a matter of how much exposure that particular leaf would get.

In case you are wondering, the conditions were still very windy. Macro work in the field is taxing, so I relaxed for a moment by
simply pointing the camera at a few plants and filming them...
(OK, Beth tells me that my voice sounds funny here. Maybe I was laying on a rock that was pinching me in a private way....)
