La Montera del Torero!
A little discouraged, Beth and I climbed up to La Montera, and were surprised to see that it was pierced all the way through
by a little tunnel. Susan was kind enough to take a few photographs of us in the aperture.
We got back in the car. Not quite ready to give up, despite our long and unfruitful efforts, I drove to a small dirt road that
seemed to be heading towards rock and soil exposures that looked encouraging from my earlier views from the top of the
hill. We had travelled less than five minutes before the road degraded too much for our little rental car to handle. I parked the car,
and walked towards the exposures.
I admit that I was hopeful but certainly not optimistic.
