Colorful plants:
Ah, for some reason the plants in another part of the riparian area were more pigmented. This argues against genetics, and for environmental effects. Either they were happier, or stressed. Who knows?

Here is a slightly different perspective of these plants.

One of the frustrating aspects of photographing Pinguicula lusitanica is deciding whether to focus on the leaf rosette or the flowers, and how to deal with all the interfering twigs and grasses. An advantage of video is that you can modify your focus as you pan, which I tried doing here...
