The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

North and South Carolina low country, 2007

Return to the Trip Overview

Boiling Spring Lakes:
A few km further on we stopped to look over this broad, sandy landscape--land managed by The Nature Conservancy. It is a fine example of local biodiversity--over 400 species of plants have been here, including a number that are carnivorous. Here is another view of the site.

We did not stay long: I had been here before, and Mark as promised other sites I did not know about. We drove on, to a quiet sandy road in Columbus County about 60 km away by photon, but more like twice that by road.
