Don't you just love Sphagnum?
Here is some that was growing near the
Sarracenia jonesii, at the end of the boardwalk towards the
cabins. As I set up my tripod for this photograph,
I noticed two bouquets of flowers (including some from the
bog) that had been thrown to the ground. I guess the pickers might
have been afraid of something like poison ivy. I wonder why--there's
so little in the area.
