Better view:
Now, remember I was confined to
staying on the boardwalk, but I wanted to get some slightly
closer images. So, I had to get into some weird positions to frame the
subjects the way I wanted to. This photograph in particular took
some pretty impressive contortions on
my part to get the tripod positioned just right,
all from the boardwalk. I had to adopt a strange, sideways-bent,
laying-down posture that looked a lot like I was overcome by stomach
cramps. A couple of times people walked by as I took these pictures,
but politely and wordlessly stepped over me as they passed.
