The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Montane California Darlingtonia in mid-winter, 2010

Return to the Trip Overview

Looking up the slope, you can see how strangely bumpy the ground is, like moguls on a ski slope. Each bump is big enough that you might be able to hide a crouching golden retriever behind one. (It is hard to describe scale, I am doing my best!)

All in all, this is fine Darlingtonia habitat, my friend!
