The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Western Australia in 2007

Back to the car, we drove on. We covered endless distances, progressing nearly to the horizon.

Actually, our next stop was only about 4 km down the road! It's amazing how rich the carnivorous plant diversity is in Western Australia!

Phill had taken us to a woodland site not too dissimilar from the Drosera modesta seepage we had been viewing the previous day. But at this site the drainage bottomed out into deep sand, so there was different mix of plants. I was very excited to see that here, the Drosera sulphurea was in full flower. Very pretty!
