Q: About Utricularia section Candollea
A: Not much is known about the species in this section. The entire inflorescence is
covered with glandular (carnivorous?) hairs.
Utricularia podadena--This plant is only known from two botanical collections. It may be extinct
because the Malawi site where it was originally collected has been converted into agriculture. I do not know about the
Mozambique site.
