Hillside plants:
Ah, I found the clearing after all! And here were many S. alata in flower and also in pitcher production. Isn't it interesting to see Sarracenia on a slope? The Gulf Coast species are almost invariably on dead-flat land. In Florida, the difference between a wet habitat and a dry hill is a matter of several cm of elevation change. Here, the Sarracenia are on real hills!

Here is another image of the area, but with far fewer flowers present.
