The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Western Australia in 2007

Return to the Trip Overview

Hillbilly:
We also saw this plant, which is a type of Drosera stolonifera that some refer to as being the "hills form." I'm still poking around to learn what are the characteristics of this designation that are considered important. I'm sure Allen told me, but I forgot. It looks rather like something between D. stolonifera and D. purpurascens.

Does it merit recognition at some taxonomic level? I don't know; I'll let the Australians figure this one out.
