Western Australia in 2007

Return to the Trip Overview

Regrouped:
Finally, I caught up with Phill. Beth had vanished, but hopefully she would turn up at some point. Meanwhile, Phill took me on a tour of some of the plants in the area.

This is Drosera erythrorhiza subsp. squamosa. As I examined it, Phill casually mentioned (as was his way) that nearby he had seen some Drosera huegelii.

Drosera huegelii? Really? Remember how I said before that I liked D. stricticaulis because of its bell-shaped leaves? Well Drosera huegelii out-bell-shapes D. stricticaulis easily! I desperately wanted to see it!
