The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Apalachicola National Forest in 2010

Return to the Trip Overview

Golden child
This specimen attracted my interest because it had such a deeply keeled pitcher, and was almost a golden color throughout. Quite nice.

Yet another afternoon storm arrived, so I unfurled my shower-curtain diffuser. This time, instead of diffusing the light, it was useful as a rain hood.

I amused myself by taking a number of increasingly close-up photographs of this plant, like this one of the lid, and then this one of the mouth, and then finally this one of the droplet on the lid-tip.
