The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Drosera filiformis in Florida, 2010

Reflections
Here is another view, but one I took from a lower perspective and without a polarizer. I wanted to emphasize the reflections of the flowers and their peduncles in the water.

We spent far more time at this lake than I planned. Not only did we gobble up hours gawking at the plants, there were other distractions, too. Randy and I encountered a beautiful black racer (snake). There was also an episode where we all had to hide in the brush for a while to seek shelter from a passing thunderstorm.

Next we made an unsuccessful attempt to visit a site. (We were flummoxed by the confusing roads.) We nursed our pride by having lunch---a fine time to sit in our parked cars, as a torrential lightning storm attacked our autos.
