The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Getting probed
Here Beth is dissecting one of the Drosera capillaris plants to inspect its stipules. On D. capillaris the stipules are as I described earlier--one broad stipule flanked by a pair of narrow stipules.

We knew that this was Drosera capillaris, but it's still good to dissect known specimens, to get your mind warmed up for the hard cases we expected to encounter later.

Beth and I had to share my camera---hers being 90% dead. The water adventure the day before was just too much for it. You can imagine the care we took, as we waded around this stream, avoiding dunking the camera!
