Interesting mouth
What an interesting form to this plant! The plants have a suspicious red glow to the tubes, but also the pitcher
mouths are all canted downwards. How very odd! Perhaps there is some hybrid backcrossing going on? Indeed, when Brian
introduced me to this part of Splinter Hill, he
called it the land of mixed-up backcrosses.
Fresh from his siesta, Brian appeared, armed with his video camera. I can't tell you how much I envy his ability to visit
these plants so much more easily than I can! He's not exactly a local, but he certainly lives a lot closer to
Splinter Hill than I do!
