The Carnivorous Plant FAQ Field Trip Report -

Splinter Hill Bog, Alabama, 2010

Return to the Trip Overview

Other species!
As I noted, Splinter Hill has a number of bogs on its property, and each has a different character. At this hillside seep, Sarracenia psittacina reigned supreme. It was growing particularly well because of a recent burn Keith had conducted.

This is the kind of management that the ICPS conservation program helps ensure!
